A RESOLUTION COMMENDING JOHNNY JONES UPON BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE MISSISSIPPI PRIDE FOOTBALL TEAM.

WHEREAS, Johnny Jones has become a member of the Mississippi Pride football team; and

WHEREAS, Johnny Jones is joining high school teammates, Malikia Griffin and Paul Morgan, who are also on the Mississippi Pride roster; and

WHEREAS, Johnny Jones was a member of South Panola's 1993 state championship team; and

WHEREAS, Johnny Jones garnered numerous honors in his collegiate career at Ole Miss; and

WHEREAS, Johnny Jones distinguished himself as a hard-hitting and tenacious linebacker; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Senate to commend the meritorious accomplishments of the citizens of the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MISSISSIPPI SENATE, That we do hereby commend Johnny Jones upon becoming a member of the Mississippi Pride football team and wish him continued success in his endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to Johnny Jones.
